China to advance infrastructure, production capacity with Serbia
Premier Li Keqiang vowed to further advance infrastructure and production capacity projects such as highways, steel plants and industrial parks to extend production chains for bilateral cooperation, when meeting with his Serbian counterpart Ana Brnabic Tuesday in Budapest.
Li said the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries has yielded fruitful achievements in mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields. Construction of the Serbian section of the Hungary-Serbia Railway started Tuesday, marking a breakthrough progress for the rail line. He urged acceleration in building the China-Europe land-sea express line to inject new momentum into regional connectivity.
Brnabic said Serbia extends gratitude to China's support to its economic development. Serbia will work with China to advance the rail line and further cooperate in industrial parks, e-commerce and logistics, she said. Chinese enterprises are welcome to join infrastructure projects in Serbia and direct flights are expected to open as soon as possible, she added.
