Made-in-China products trustworthy, quality official says
China's products and services are trustworthy and reliable, an official from the nation's top quality watchdog said.
Huang Guoliang, director of quality management for the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, said Chinese products are globally recognized for being practical and inexpensive, and that the country has taken the lead in quality in sectors such as aerospace and high-speed rail.
Last year, China's export volume was $2.1 trillion, including $463 billion to the United States and $326 billion to Europe, he said, adding that made-in-China products had passed strict quality inspections and testing by developed countries.
China expects to promote quality innovation and development in cooperation with other nations to promote global quality improvement and benefit all countries, he added.
Huang was speaking at the opening ceremony of the 61st European Quality Organization Congress in Bled, Slovenia. More than 400 representatives from 45 countries attended the event, according to the administration.
