Applauding for the stories between China and Africa, President Xi ties closely with Africa

During his visit in Congo, Xi delivered a speech at the parliament of the Republic of Congo. Xi spoke highly of Sino-Congo relations, and said that "the comprehensive and cooperative partnership between China and Congo is the example for South-South cooperation. Friendly cooperation between China and Congo is the strong consensus of both sides' governments and the people".

Looking into the future, Xi said that China's development will bring unprecedented opportunity for Africa and vice versa. " Both sides should walk joint-handedly, and walk firmly on the path of mutual benefit and mutual development. We are willing to take the historical opportunity together with Africa, to deepen our pragmatic cooperation, to improve our friendly undertakings and to benefit both of our people more". At the same time, Xi pointed out that China will firmly devote itself to maintaining world peace, and to promote mutual development. China will always be Africa's all-weather good friend and good partner.

Applauding for the stories between Chinese and African people

Countries' cooperations relay on the closeness of the people. The long-term communication between Chinese and African people generated many warm stories. During Xi's visit in Africa, he mentioned the stories between the two people many times, and applauded for their non-government exchanges, understanding and closeness.

Xi mentioned in his speech at Julius Nyerere International Conference Center in Dar es Salaam in Tanzania, that when the torch of 2008 Olympic Games passed through Dar es Salaam, " the people of Tanzania celebrated like its their own festival, and they embraced the torch with songs and dances".

After 2008 earthquake in Wenchuan, African countries offered help, although some country wasn't rich and had less than 2 million people, but it still generously donated 2 million Euro, "this friendship warmed Chinese people".

At the parliament of the Republic of Congo, president Xi also mentioned the story of the people of China and Congo helping each other.

After the earthquake in Yushu, Qinghai, Congo donated a primary school to the earthquake stricken area. " Now, children in the area have new and spacious school. They can read and study quietly, and they can also run and laugh on the playground. In the letter from all staffs and students to the president of Congo, they wrote with a melting mood, saying that ‘ birds are more free with a wide sky, horses are stronger with spacious grassland, and flowers are more colorful with sunshine and rain. Our lives are brighter with the help from the government of Congo and its people'. " On behalf of these children. I would love to express my sincere thanks to Congo government and its people!"

In Congo's capital Brazzaville, three injured Chinese, regardless of their own safety, swam to its neighbor's house in the extremely heavy rainstorm,and saved 12 Congo neighbors, including 5 children.

These examples are sufficient proofs to the long-term relationship between the two people. China-Africa cooperation is based on the deep foundation of the people. Just like president Xi said, " the development of China-Africa new strategic partnership is rooted in the people and originated from communication".
