A seminar on the heating industry and energy conservation and emission reduction jointly sponsored by the French Development Agency (AFD) and the Chinese Ministry of Finance (MOF) was held in Jinan, Shandong province on Friday.
Participants shared experiences on how to improve the energy efficiency and operational management of the municipal heat supply network to promote sustainable development.
On the eve of the Paris climate change conference, the seminar jointly organized by AFD and MOF has great significance. To achieve intelligent heating, energy saving and emissions reduction and create a better living environment not only requires state-level cooperation between France and China but also requires more French actors who have innovative solutions and technologies to work with Chinese cities, said Emmanuel Debroise, Chief Representative of AFD China.
At the seminar, Schneider Electric, a French company specializing in energy management and automation, presented the Jinan heating project's intelligent heat supply network solution package to participants.
"We look forward to working together with Chinese enterprises to promote energy management cooperation projects to achieve energy-saving growth and make cities more livable, efficient and sustainable," said Zhao Kang, senior vice president of Schneider Electric China.
