China expects to push forward the Belt and Road Initiative with Kazakhstan to achieve more to benefit the two peoples, President Xi Jinping said during a meeting with Kazakhstan's President Nursultan Nazarbayev.

The Silk Road Economic Belt, which was introduced in Kazakhstan in 2013, has been actively endorsed by more than 100 countries and international organizations, Xi said.

After four years of joint efforts, bilateral cooperation on the initiative has entered a new stage featuring deep integration and mutual promotion, Xi said.

He also asked the two sides to strengthen cooperation in law enforcement and fighting the three evil forces - separatism, extremism and terrorism.

China supports Kazakhstan in playing a bigger role in international security affairs and contributing to global peace, he added.

Nazarbayev congratulated the successful opening of the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation.

Xi's keynote speech answered many major questions facing the international community at the moment, he said.

Kazakhstan firmly supports the initiative and expects to deepen cooperation with China in fields including trade, agriculture, mining, railroads and technology, Nazarbayev said.

Efforts to integrate China's 21st Century Maritime Silk Road Initiative and Indonesia's vision of "global maritime nexus" have borne fruit in enriched bilateral relations and a greatly enlarged space for cooperation, President Xi Jinping said in a meeting with Indonesian President Joko Widodo on Sunday.

Xi introduced the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road Initiative in Indonesia in 2013, while Widodo unveiled his concept of a global maritime nexus soon after assuming office in 2014.

The two countries should deepen pragmatic cooperation, promote infrastructure projects and promote balanced bilateral trade, Xi said.

Widodo said Indonesia has high praise for the Belt and Road Initiative and the forum. He said his country believes that building the initiative will bring more opportunities for economic cooperation with China.

Indonesia expects to deepen cooperation under the framework of the initiative, raise the level of trade and investment and discuss construction of an economic connectivity corridor - especially cooperation on major projects infields such as industry, agriculture, electrical power, ports and tourism, he said.

After the talks, the two presidents witnessed the signing of cooperation agreements, including an action plan to implement the comprehensive strategic partnership.
