BMW drives into pizzeria near Paris, killing 1, injuring 12

PARIS - A 32-year-old man drove a BMW into a pizza restaurant in a village east of Paris on Monday, killing a 13-year-old girl, and injuring 12 others, with four of them in "absolute emergency", local media reported.

The driver, who had been arrested by French police, was believed to have acted intentionally and psychologically unstable, France's BFM television reported.

The man was born in 1985 and was believed to have tried to commit suicide last week, said BFM television, citing French Interior Ministry spokesman Pierre-Henry.
