CAIRO -- China and Egypt inked here Thursday a memorandum of understanding on boosting cooperation under an ambitious development initiative proposed by Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Xi and his Egyptian counterpart, Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi, attended the signing ceremony for the deal, in which the two countries agree to jointly carry out the Belt and Road Initiative.
