China and the United States will discuss maritime security and relations between their militaries at a bilateral strategic security dialogue on Sunday, an official with the Foreign Ministry said on Thursday. It will take place a day ahead of the eighth round of the China-US Strategic and Economic Dialogue to be held in Beijing.
Speaking at a warming-up forum for the dialogue, Vice-Foreign Minister Zheng Zeguang said the security dialogue will be co-chaired by Vice-Foreign Minister Zhang Yesui and US Deputy Secretary of State Antony Blinken, and military representatives from both nations will attend the dialogue.
