Xi will attend the United Nations General Assembly and give his debut speech at the United Nations' 70th anniversary session, which will underline China's status as a charter member, a co-founder of the postwar international order and a permanent member of the Security Council.
Chinese President Xi Jinping will pay a state visit to the United States from Sept 22 to 25 and attend summits marking the 70th anniversary of United Nations' founding from Sept 26-28.
