Bill Gates will host a banquet for President Xi Jinping in his mansion Xanadu 2.0, which is located in Medina, east of Seattle, during Xi's visit to the United States, huanqiu.com reported.
The house took seven years to finish, and is estimated to be worth $123.54 million. It takes up more than 6,100 square meters, and its facilities include a pool building, a gym, a library with a dome ceiling and a reception hall, according to cbsnews.com.
During his visit to the US, Xi will meet with Chinese and US entrepreneurs including Ma Huateng, president of Tencent, Jack Ma, president of Alibaba and Warren Buffett.
Former governor of Washington state John Spellman wanted a panda from President Xi Jinping, according to Sino-US.com.
"I want to ask President Xi for a panda for Washington State,", the 88-year-old former governor said. "Maintaining a good relationship between China and the US is good for both sides. I think the Sino-US relationship may be the most important relationship among all the US diplomatic relationships," he added.
Served as the 18th governor of Washington State from 1981 to 1985, Spellman met with then Chinese vice-premier Deng Xiaoping in Seattle in 1979.
