China will hold a military parade this year to commemorate the 70th anniversary of victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression (1937-45), a Foreign Ministry spokeswoman said on Monday.
Other events marking the 70th anniversary of victory in the World Anti-Fascist War will include a rally, a reception and an evening gala in Beijing, spokeswoman Hua Chunying said, without revealing dates for the parade and other events.
The events will be attended by President Xi Jinping and leaders of allied countries, Asian nations, other regions and of international organizations such as the United Nations.
International personalities who made contributions to the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and their relatives will attend, Hua said.
