Bloc 'primed to expand' as community

3 In his meeting with Laotian Prime Minister Thongsing Thammavong, Li said that construction will soon begin on the China-Laos rail line project and that the two countries should make joint efforts to cooperate on infrastructure including highways and railways. The Laotian prime minister said Laos will advance communication between ASEAN and China next year, when the Laos takes up ASEAN's rotating presidency.
