Li leaves for Malaysia for East Asia leaders' meetings, official visit

BEJING - Chinese Premier Li Keqiang left Beijing for Kuala Lumpur on Friday to attend a series of annual leaders' meetings on East Asia cooperation and pay an official visit to Malaysia from Nov 20 to 23.

Li will attend the 18th leaders' meeting between China and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), the 18th ASEAN-China, Japan and Republic of Korea leaders' meeting, and the 10th East Asia Summit.

Li, accompanied by his wife Cheng Hong, will also pay the official visit at the invitation of his Malaysian counterpart Najib Tun Razak.

During the visit, Li will hold an annual China-Australia prime ministers' meeting with Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull as well as meet leaders of other countries.
