Nescafé Coffee Center foundation engineering project completed

The completion of the foundation engineering project of Nescafé Coffee Centre (NCC) located in Pu'er Industrial Park marks the end of the project in early stage, which involves a range of work including site flattening, piling and underground infrastructure construction, designed to lay a solid foundation for the main-body construction.

Despite the rainy season, well-organized deployment and timely support of additional builders guarantee the successful implementation of scheduled tasks, under the condition that the engineering quality is ensured. Now with the successive arrival of the main steel structure materials, the next step is to execute the construction of main steel structure, light steel roof and brick wall masonry. It is estimated the main-body work would be completed by the end of October.

In the meantime, ancillary facilities like water pump house and fire pool have completed their infrastructure construction, and the main-body construction is under way.

"The construction of NCC has been going smoothly since its commencementin March 2015 and the center is expected to be put in operation at the purchase season for coffee comes. Integrating training, experiment and storage, NCC will provide training for coffer farmers and professionals to reinforce quality and promote coffee market knowledge, and give support to coffee plantation in Pu'er, even in Yunnan," said Gonzalo Contreras, Nestlé Coffee Agricultural Service Manager.

Nestlé has been carrying on the concept of "Creating Shared Value" since Yunnan began coffee plantation in 1988, and providesthe growers with considerable technology and training projects as encouraged by local government, in order to boost local coffee industry. The investment inNCC is aimed to further promote coffee industrialization.
