China Daily Europe & Talkholiday Collaborate to Create CHINA CLUB

(chinadaily.com.cn) Updated: 2015-07-29 11:32

"The aim of China Club is to amass a significant number of people from all over the globe with an interest in business and tourism to all destinations in China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan."

Other trade partners for launch include the Value Retail group which specialises in designer outlets like Bicester Village, which is opening two sites in China in 2016, The Dorsett Hotel Group and foreign exchange provider, Caxton FX.

China Daily is the largest English-language Chinese news platform in the world. Created over 30 years ago, now is publishing its China Daily title on all continents.

The China Daily European edition, started in 2010 and headquartered in London, aims to bring insight news and opinions from the Chinese perspective to let its readers better understand differences in culture, business and policies. Within a short period of time, China Daily European Weekly has built up its distribution in 23 European countries, acting as a reference point for business leaders and policy makers around the continent.

The launch of China Club has also led talkholiday to develop its own site and will now coincide with a significant upgrade of their platform, both in aesthetics and capacity.

"We have made wholesale changes, for the better, to the new site," said Newlands. "The new site will be unveiled alongside the launch of China Club, which, in my opinion, will rival any travel platform in the marketplace."

Talkholiday was conceived and developed by Glasgow-based Newlands after his own travel experiences made him realise there were gaps in the market regarding various aspects of holidaymaking.

The site acts as a platform where like-minded people with the same interests, going to the same destination or an event at the same time, can interact. Users can also plan, prepare and purchase every aspect of their leisure or business trip on the site.
