LIMA - China is willing to work together with Bolivia to advance bilateral ties constantly in the interest of the peoples of the two countries, a visiting Chinese envoy said in Lima on Thursday.
Since Bolivian President Evo Morales came to power, China-Bolivia relations have maintained momentum for rapid development, said Jiang Daming, a special envoy of Chinese President Xi Jinping, when he attended the inauguration ceremony of the Bolivian president and held talks with him.
China highly values its ties with Bolivia, while this year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Bolivia, said Jiang, who is also China's Minister of Land and Resources.
Morales said that China is a great cooperation partner, and he highly cherishes the friendly feelings between the peoples of the two countries.
Morales said the Bolivian government is willing to work together with the Chinese side to run activities to celebrate the 30the anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries, unceasingly consolidate the basis of the friendship between the two countries, deepen bilateral cooperation of mutual benefit in various fields and further promote bilateral ties.
Morales was sworn in as Bolivia's president Thursday, inaugurating his third five-year term (2015-2020).
Morales won his third term in elections held on October 12 last year with 61.3 percent of the vote. He was previously elected in 2005 and 2009 respectively.
