PERTH, Australia - A Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) AP-3C Orion aircraft has detected a possible signal in the vicinity of the Australian Defence Vessel Ocean Shield, Angus Houston, Chief Coordinator of the Joint Agency Coordination Center (JACC), confirmed on Thursday.
According to the latest update, Houston said that whilst conducting an acoustic search this afternoon, a RAAF AP-3C Orion aircraft has detected a possible signal in the vicinity of the Australian Defence Vessel Ocean Shield.
"The acoustic data will require further analysis overnight but shows potential of being from a man-made source," Houston said Thursday.
