Premier Li Keqiang called Malaysia prime minister Najib Razak over the missing plane and urged Malaysian authorities to intensify the search and rescue efforts.
Najib Razak expressed the deepest sympathy and solicitude to family members of Chinese passengers and promised an all-out effort.
Malaysia will also send a team to China to deal with the accident.
