·2014 Qingdao International Horticultural Expo

Qingdao International Horticultural Expo is the first global horticultural expo held in a Chinese coastal city.

Jointly sponsored by the State Forestry Administration, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, China Flower Association and Shandong provincial government, it began on April 25 and will continue until Oct 25.

·24th Qingdao International Beer Festival

Qingdao International Beer Festival was first held in 1991.

It is a large gala that includes both entertainment and business activities.

The largest beer gala in China hosts 50 famous beer brands from all over the world each year and millions of tourists join the event.

The event will be held from Aug 9 to 24 this year.

·2014 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Trade Ministers Meeting and the Second Senior Officials' Meeting

Senior officials, policymakers, trade ministers and business leaders from the Asia-Pacific region will join the event from May 5 to 18.

·Jinjialing Fortune Forum 2014

The Jinjialing in Qingdao's Laoshan district is home to most financial institutions in the zone.

With a theme of "Financial Industry and Real Economy" this year, Speakers of the forum will include Nobel Prize winners, renowned experts, business leaders and senior government officials.

The event will be held from June 20 to 21.

·The 13th Qingdao International Consumer Electronics Show

Jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Ministry of Science and Technology and Shandong government, it is a flagship event in the Chinese consumer electronics industry.

Most of the world's leading companies in the field are expected to showcase their latest products during the expo held from July 11 to 14 in the Qingdao International Exhibition Center.

·The 12th China International Sailing Expo and China International Boat Show

Jointly sponsored by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, State Oceanic Administration and Qingdao government, the show will display a large number of sailboats and water sports equipment.

The expo will also include a fair for yacht companies.

It will be held from May 30 to June 1.

·The 3rd China International Circular Economy Achievements Trade Fair

Jointly sponsored by the National Development and Reform Commission, Shandong government and Qingdao government, it is an important platform to showcase achievements in developing a circular economy as well as enhance the cooperation with other countries.

The event will be held from Sept 25 to 27 at the Qingdao International Exhibition Center.

The Qingdao International Horticultural Expo is underway until Oct 25.
