Chinese FM arrives in Nepal

KATHMANDU - A Chinese delegation led by Foreign Minister Wang Yi arrived here on Thursday for a three-day official goodwill visit, the highest level one from the Chinese side after the election of Nepal's Constituent Assembly in November 2013.

According to the schedule provided by the Chinese Embassy in Nepal, Wang will meet with his Nepali counterpart Mahendra Bahadur Pandey at 10:30 am on Friday. Bilateral issues such as trade and investment will be discussed at the meeting.

A joint press conference will be organized after the talks.

On Friday afternoon, Wang will call on Nepali President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav and Prime Minister Sushil Koirala as well as laying foundation stone for the China-funded Armed Police Force Academy building in Halchowk, Kathmandu.

The Chinese foreign minister will leave for Bangladesh on Dec 27

Nepal and China will celebrate 60th anniversary of their diplomatic relations in 2015.
