MUMBAI - A total of 13 policemen of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were killed in an ambush by Maoist militants in Central Indian state of Chhattisgarh on Monday, news channel CNN-IBN reported.
It's the biggest attack on the CRPF this year.
The deceased include a deputy commandant and an assistant commandant of CRPF. All deceased belonged to the 223 battalion
Last month, Naxals ambushed a patrol party and hit an Indian Air Force (IAF) helicopter, injuring six CRPF personnel and an IAF commando.
