Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff was born into a middle class family in 1947. Her father is a Bulgarian immigrant and her mother a school teacher. She was elected the first female president of Brazil on October 31, 2010. She has a daughter with her second husband Carlos Araujo, a lawyer. They divorced after 30 years.
