CAIRO -- At least five people were wounded in a bomb attack on bus outside a school compound in the Nasr city district in the Egyptian capital of Cairo, a day after the government declared the Muslim Brotherhood as a "terrorist group," state TV reported Thursday.

Initial report said the blast hit a public bus outside Malik Fahid Schools Complex near Al-Azhar University, Sunni Islam's most prominent university, which witnessed regular protests staged by supporters of ousted president Mohamed Morsi.

Security forces cordoned off the scene of the blast, and the injured were transferred to nearby hospital.

The expert team managed to defused another two bombs planted in Moustafa Nahas Street where the Schools Complex is located, according to the report.

The bomb attack came two days after the deadly blast in the Nile Delta City of Mansoura that left 16 people dead and more than 100 injured.
