Magnitude-5.5 quake hits Myanmar: USGS

NEW YORK - An earthquake measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale jolted Myanmar on Saturday, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said.

The temblor occurred at 11:11 p.m. local time (1641 GMT) Saturday. The epicenter, with a depth of 126.60 km, was initially determined to be at 22.430 degrees north latitude and 94.753 degrees east longitude, the USGS said on its website.
