LOS ANGELES - Police said three people were dead in an attack in Casper College in Wyoming Friday morning.

Casper Police Chief Chris Walsh told local media that two people were dead at the school's Wold Physical Science Center and one dead at another location in Casper, although he would not identify the dead or the other location.

He said no suspects are at large and nobody else was injured. He also said that no firearms were used in the attack. But he didn 't identify the weapon or weapons involved.

Local media quoted an anonymous law enforcement official as saying that one of the dead appeared to be a male faculty member, and the other appeared to be of "student age." At least one of them had been stabbed with a "bow and arrow type" weapon.

The third body was found off campus and no cause of death was reported. The attacker was believed to be among those killed.

Police responded to the Wold Physical Science Center attack at about 9:00 a.m. (1600 GMT). Police and college officials locked down the campus and police sealed and searched the physical science center.

All classes and activities were canceled. Most of the students were sent home and the school provided counselor service to staff and students and put signs of alert on its website.

Casper College is a two-year community college with about 6,000 enrollment in Wyoming's second-largest city Casper, which has a population of 56,000, and is about 250 miles northwest of Denver.
