Geese ready for feast Martini

Austrian farmers Johann and Maria Reisenbauer have been raising geese organically for the traditional 'Martin Goose' (Martini Gansl) dinner in celebration of St. Martin for the past eight years. The feast of St. Martin of Tours (also called "Martini") marks the time when new wines are tasted, cattle are butchered and geese are at their prime. This feast celebrated in German-speaking Europe, is celebrated on Nov 11 usually with a roast goose. [Photo/Agencies]
