ATHENS - Four Russian tourists died and 30 were injured, when a tourist bus overturned in the suburbs of the city port of Thessaloniki in northern Greece on Friday.
According to local traffic police, the bus with a total of 51 passengers was heading towards the airport on a slippery road due to rain when the accident occurred.
Fire Brigade assisted in the evacuation of the bus, as some passengers had been trapped. Police officers told local media that a 36-year-old passenger helped a woman and a child to leave the bus, before succumbing to his heavy injuries.
The injured have been transferred to a local hospital in no life threatening conditions, while the driver of the bus was in a state of shock, according to local authorities' sources.
