PYONGYANG - A new session of the parliament of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), the Supreme People's Assembly(SPA), will be held in Pyongyang on September 25, the official KCNA news agency reported on Wednesday.
The decision to hold the sixth session of the 12th SPA was made by the SPA Presidium on Monday, said the report.
Legislators have been informed to register for the event on September 23-24, it added.
In April this year, the fifth session of the 12th SPA was convened, during which DPRK top leader Kim Jong-un was named first chairman of the National Defense Commission, the country's top military organ.
