KABUL - The Taliban sent bombers to British aid offices and a United Nations compound in the Afghan capital on Thursday, spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said by telephone from an undisclosed location.
The Islamist group declined to say how many bombers they had sent to the offices, but added they would issue a statement "shortly". Witnesses heard two blasts and gunfire, but there were no immediate reports of casualties.
