MOSCOW - At least 12 people were injured on Tuesday at the GRES-1 power station in the Siberian city of Surgut, a spokesman for the local emergency ministry said.
"Twelve were injured, five of them are in a serious condition," spokesman Vadim Grebennikov said.
He said that the fire had been put out and that the power station was operating normally. Earlier, local news agencies said 13 people had been injured.
The power station is owned by generating company OGK-2, which is controlled by Gazprom. Gazprom's power arm had no immediate comment.
