118-year-old Nepali woman signs up for voter's ID

KATHMANDU - A woman from Myagdi district in western Nepal had her name registered for the voter's identity card at the age of 118, local media reported on Saturday.

According to eKantipur.com report, Saraswati Rai Chhetri was carried to the registration center by her son on Friday.

The district election office informed that Chhetri was the seniormost citizen in Myagdi to sign up for the voter's identity card. According to her citizenship certificate, she was born in 1950 BS (1893).
