Navy helicopter crashes in S Philippines, two pilots missing

MANILA - A Philippine navy helicopter crashed on Tuesday in the sea between great Sta. Cruz and Little Sta. Cruz Islands near Zamboanga city, southern Philippines.

The helicopter, which crashed Tuesday morning, has two pilots, a crew member, and two Navy passengers. The crew member and the passengers have been rescued and are now at the Camp Navarro General  Hospital.  

The Navy personnel are still looking for the two missing pilots, according to Navy Spokesman Lt. Col. Edgard Arevalo.  

The helicopter was on a routine flight mission, documenting inshore combat tactics training, when it crashed.

Arevalo said that they are still investigating what caused the crash.
