Kim Jong Il: Sanctions can't block step of DPRK

PYONGYANG - Kim Jong Il, top leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), has said sanctions can not block the step of the DPRK torward prosperity, the official newspaper Rodong Sinmun reported on Sunday.

Kim made the comments during a recent inspection of the Namhung Youth Chemical Complex.

He stressed that it was the time to wage the whole party and the entire nation to "powerfully demonstrate the heroic spirit of the Korean people who know nothing impossible" to build a prosperous and powerful nation at an early date.

This was the second time that Kim inspected Namhung Youth Chemical Complex this year.
