40 civilians kidnapped by militants in Pakistan released

ISLAMABAD - The militant kidnappers have released 40 people on Sunday in the restive Kurram tribal area in northwest Pakistan, said local televisions quoting local sources.

The reports said another 10 abductees have also escaped. Unidentified armed men kidnapped 60 people riding in 10 different vehicles on Saturday and set a tractor on fire.
