Strong earthquake rocks eastern Indonesia

JAKARTA - A powerful earthquake measuring 6.0 on Ritcher scale struck eastern parts of Indonesia on Friday, the Meteorology and Geophysics Agency reported.

The quake jolted at 14: 39 p.m. Jakarta time (0839 GMT)  with the epicenter 246 km southeast of Melonguane town of North Sulawesi province and with the depth 65 km under sea bed, the agency said.
