Chile lifts tsunami alert on coast after tremors

SANTIAGO - Chile's navy lifted a tsunami warning for the country's coast after strong aftershocks shook the capital Santiago on Thursday, following the swearing in ceremony for new President Sebastian Pinera.
The alert remained in effect for Easter Island.
Chile was hit by an 8.8-magnitude earthquake on February 27 that killed hundreds of people.
