Logging threatens orangutans' habitat in Indonesia

This picture taken on June 4, 2009 shows an orangutan swimming through the waters of the Rungan River, in Central Borneo, Indonesia. Orangutans, that usually avoid the water because they are afraid of predators like crocodiles, are now being forced to swim due to the destruction of their natural habbitat. Whereas the huge apes used to swing from branch to branch across the water they now have no choice but to take to the water.[CFP]
