Chinese Kun Opera staged in UNESCO headquarters in Paris
 
A show of "Peony Pavilion", a well-known Chinese traditional Kunqu Opera, at the headquarters of United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in Paris, capital of France, Nov 17, 2009. A performance staged by China's Suzhou Kunqu Opera Troupe debuted at the headquarters of UNESCO on Tuesday night. Regarded as "the mother of all operas", Kunqu has a long history of over 500 years and is one of China's extant oldest dramatic forms.
