Vietnam reports 1st A(H1N1) case

HANOI -- Initial examination of a hospital in Vietnamese southern Ho Chi Minh city has found one Vietnamese young people tested positive to A(H1N1) virus, becoming the country 's first A(H1N1) case, local newspaper the Young People reported on Sunday.

According to the HCM Institute for Infectious and Tropical Disease, the patient came to the institute on May 29.

He has been quarantined at the institute since then.

The patient, identified as LQG by the newspaper, is 23 years old, who is studying in the Untied States and has just come back to Vietnam, according to the newspaper.
