Fresh Chinese medical aid arrives in Mexico

Updated: 2009-05-04 21:25 MEXICO CITY - The second batch of Chinese medical material arrived in Mexico on Monday to help the Latin American country fight the A/H1N1 influenza.
The first batch of medical supplies from China, which was the earliest international assistance to Mexico, arrived in the country on May 1 and was received in person by Mexican President Felipe Calderon. The Chinese government on Wednesday pledged US$5 million worth of humanitarian aid to Mexico -- 1 million dollars in cash and 4 million dollars in medical supplies. |
