Mumbai hotel reclaimed, one militant caught alive

MUMBAI -- Indian NSG chief claimed at 9:00 that the Taj hotel was reclaimed and one militant was caught alive, but soldiers are still searching the hotel.

NSG chief Miloni Bhatt said one NSG commander was killed in the Taj battle and three militants were shot dead in the final encounter.

About 7:40 a.m. Saturday morning, fresh gunfire took place at the ground floor of the Taj hotel. Smoke was billowing out from the world culture heritage building, while gunshots and explosions were heard clearly.

Late Friday night the last militants were cornered in a room of the ground floor of the Taj hotel.
