Nine killed in bus accident in eastern Nepal

KATHMANDU-- At least nine persons were killed and over three dozen have been injured when two vehicles collided head in Jhapa district in eastern Nepal on Thursday night.

According to eKantipur.com website Friday's report, the injured are undergoing treatment at different local hospitals in Nepal and India.

A truck collided with a mini bus heading back from a picnic program in Illam, some 280 km east of Kathmandu, Thursday night.

Two drivers of the mini bus and the truck died in the accident, said the report.
