WASHINGTON -- US President George W. Bush said on Friday he has not changed his strong dollar policy.
"That's the problem with this rhetoric ... on dollar policy. If I even put a comma as opposed to a period people are suggesting change," Bush told CNBC.
"Our policy has not changed. We're for a strong dollar," he added.
The US president also stressed the depreciation of dollar had raised costs for American consumers.
"Those aren't good tidings, if you're for a strong dollar like I am," Bush said, noting the dollar could be stronger due to the strength of the economy.
