Eight local men on top of wooden stilts and dressed in brightly colored shirts and petticoats escort a figure of Mary Magdalene spinning down the cobbled streets of the village.The tradition has been handed down from father to son for generations and is believed to have begun when shepherds used stilts to traverse their flooded fields.
