Koala Sharni and her 12-month-old joey Arania, who was produced by artificial
insemination, are seen at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary in Gold Coast October 30,
2006. Australian scientists unveiled three test-tube koala joeys on Monday as
part of an artificial insemination programme to preserve the vulnerable mammal.
