Two attorneys representing co-defendants in Saddam's trial have been assassinated since the trial began Oct. 19. Saddam and seven others are on trial for the 1982 deaths of 148 Shiite Muslims. If convicted, they could be hanged.

Defense lawyers are threatening to boycott Monday's resumption of the trial to protest the slayings of defense team members. Iraqi court officials say they are prepared to appoint substitute lawyers, which would likely force further delays.

Court TV Extra is a subscription service costing $5.95 a month. New users can try it free for 30 days. It will probably be the only place to watch ongoing coverage of the trial; broadcast news networks were likely to show highlights.
