Book fair opens at Temple of Earth

The Temple of Earth’s book fair opened in Beijing on Oct. 16th, which is this year’s first large-scale cultural activity since China’s 60th anniversary.

More than 500 presses and large bookstores, like Xinhua bookstore, China bookstore and the Foreign Language Bookstore attending the book fair. Around 200,000 different kinds of new books, best sellers and reference books can be found at the fair.

From picture-story comics and little red books to magazines and books in foreign languages, literature of all different styles showcase the changes of Chinese people’s reading habits during the past 60 years.

Some authors are also meeting readers with their new works.

The book fair will last 11 days and end on Oct. 26th.
