Chinese President Hu Jintao arrived in Beijing Saturday evening after attending a series of United Nations meetings in New York and the Group of 20 (G20) financial summit in Pittsburgh, the United States.

Hu started his U.S. trip on Monday from New York, where he attended the UN climate change summit on Tuesday, delivered a speech in a general debate of the UN General Assembly on Wednesday, and participated in a UN Security Council summit on nuclear non-proliferation and disarmament on Thursday.

At the Pittsburgh summit held on Friday, President Hu explained China's position on efforts to push for world economic recovery, reform the international financial system, and achieve a balanced and sustainable growth worldwide.

The Pittsburgh G20 was the third such summit held since the onset of the global economic recession caused by a financial crisis.

On the sidelines of the meetings, Hu met with several leaders of other countries, including U.S. President Barack Obama.
