China, ROK to accelerate FTA talks

BEIJING - Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met his Republic of Korea (ROK) counterpart Yun Byung-se on Friday, agreeing to promote an early conclusion of bilateral free trade agreement (FTA) negotiations.
Wang said the two countries should be dedicated to an early conclusion of the FTA negotiations and new achievements of bilateral cooperation.
Yun, who is in Beijing for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation meetings, said the ROK is willing to work together with China and step up its efforts in promoting the construction of the bilateral free trade zone.
The two ministers also exchanged views over the Korean Peninsula issue.
