Hainan Airlines offers daily service to and from China and is now sponsoring a contest in which winners will receive a roundtrip ticket from Toronto to Beijing and one-night stays at a five-star hotel in Beijing.
"We want to celebrate and make the public aware of our daily service from Toronto to Beijing on the Boeing 787-Dreamliner," said Maggie Tingting Hu, account manager at Hainan.
Hainan is conducting an online lucky draw contest the rest of this month and in September. Participants can visit www.win787ticket.com to enter. The airline will also have a booth at the Scarborough Town Center through Sunday and at the Fairview Mall on Aug 18-24 in the Toronto area where contestants can obtain a coupon for the lucky draw and a $100 voucher for future travel.
In addition to the one roundtrip ticket from Toronto to Beijing and the 10 one-night stays at a five-star hotel in Beijing, contest registrants will also be eligible to win a four-day Beijing deluxe tour and bottles of Hainan Airlines "Special Edition" wine.
"The wine is made for us by Willow Springs, a local winery in Ontario," said Hu. "It is a limited quantity red wine."
Willow Springs is a unique winery situated on the Oak Ridges Moraine, north of Toronto in the York region.
Registration for lucky draw will end on Sept 20 and contest winners should redeem their prizes before Oct 31.
Hainan began the daily service from Toronto to Beijing utilizing the new long-range, wide-body, two-engine 787 Dreamliner in May. In 2010, Hainan launched its first Canadian route from Beijing to Toronto, becoming the first Chinese airline connecting to Toronto, Canada's largest city. Before that Chinese airlines operated routes between the two countries linking only with Vancouver in western Canada.
Founded in 1993, Hainan is the fourth-largest carrier in China in terms of fleet size following Air China, China Southern Airlines and China Eastern Airlines. It operates over 500 domestic and overseas flight routes reaching over 90 cities in Asia, Europe, the Americas and Africa.
Hainan strives to create a cozy, home-like environment with an attentive cabin crew. The airline has earned the SKYTRAX 5-star airline designation, which is the highest rating an airline can receive.
